Belz-Burrow Announces Update in Blytheville, Arkansas
While addressing the Leadership Institute of Blytheville, Arkansas, Jack Belz, chairman and CEO of Belz Enterprises in Memphis, was joined by Bruce Burrow, president of the Jonesboro-based Belz-Burrow, in announcing an update of the Porter Commons Shopping Center.

Porter Commons is located at Interstate 55 and Highway 18 in Blytheville. It is currently the largest shopping center to be built in Blytheville. When phase I of Porter Commons is completed, it will offer more than 300,000 square feet of retail space in unequaled accessibility, visibility and potential.

The Wal-Mart Supercenter, one of the anchors of Porter Commons Shopping Center, is scheduled to open in spring 1999 and will contain more than 187,000 square feet of retail space. Final negotiations are underway for a 35,000-square-foot department store, two restaurants and other retail stores. In addition, Porter Commons will offer 30,000 square feet of office space.

Belz said, "Soon, we will be able to announce other retail stores that will locate in Porter Commons. Since there has been such a great demand for leasing space, we are proud to announce that Belz-Burrow has purchased an additional 20 acres to expand Porter Commons."

Currently the largest shopping center to be built in Blytheville, Porter Commons will be the largest shopping center in Northeast Arkansas, with the development of the additional 20 acres of property.
