MEMPHIS, Tenn. (April 16, 2004) - With the Grizzlies NBA playoffs just around the corner and the Redbirds season just getting underway, Sports Avenue, the newest retailer at Peabody Place Entertainment and Retail Center, opens its doors to sports fans Saturday. Offering licensed sports apparel, the new store will be located across from Jillian's and offers sport aficionados over 2,000 square feet of licensed sports merchandise.

"There is no better time to be a sports fan in Memphis, and we are excited to have Sports Avenue open at the same time as the NBA playoffs and the start of the Redbirds season," said Andrew J. The new sports apparel store specializes in authentic team merchandise and is an authorized Mitchell & Ness retailer, offering detailed reproductions of baseball, basketball, football and hockey jerseys.
