ST. PATRICK'S DAY
A GRAND CELEBRATION OF THE GREEN

INSIDE PEABODY PLACE ENTERTAINMENT AND RETAIL CENTER

MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 6, 2002 –You will feel like you've kissed the Blarney Stone when you attend the Grand St. Patrick's Day Celebration, Sunday, March 17th from noon until midnight inside Peabody Place Entertainment and Retail Center.

You may find a Leprechaun there – the small make-believe fairies from Ireland – and if you catch him, he must tell you where he hides his gold. But if you don't, starting at noon you're guaranteed to find plenty of Family Fun! complete with clowns, balloons, face painting, fog from the moors, and special in-store promotions.

Dan McGuinness Irish Pub will be ready to serve some of Ireland's finest traditional dishes along with your favorite green, imported or domestic beverage throughout the day. Cooley's House will get things started inside the pub around 3 p.m.

Inish Irish Dancers are set to begin performing at 2:15 p.m. and will be joined by the Wolf River Pipe and Drum who will musically gather in the lads and lassies from outside the Center around 4:15 p.m. These Irish celebrants will then make a grand entrance climbing the Third Street staircase, dancing and marching into the atrium.

There'll be no shenanigans this St. Patrick's Day but there will be plenty of music. The Bouffants will kick-off the evening at 6 p.m. on the Center's main stage in the atrium. An Irish band - The Sallymacs – will crank-up at 8 p.m. inside Dan McGuinness Irish Pub. And to cap-off the evening, Dr. Zarr and the Funkmonster will rock from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. on the main stage.

So to ensure that you'll have "The Luck Of The Irish" this St. Patrick's Day join the Grand Celebration of the Green inside Peabody Place Entertainment and Retail Center. You could find a four-leaf clover, a green-eyed lassie, or maybe just someone just wanting to kiss the Blarney Stone.

Located on the Center's main level, Dan McGuinness Irish Pub was built in Ireland, shipped to Memphis in pieces, and re-assembled by Irish craftsmen at Peabody Place Entertainment and Retail Center. It is a re-creation of an authentic Irish pub. Traditional Irish pubs are all about the "craic" (pronounced crack), a Gaelic word loosely meaning "atmosphere." At Dan McGuinness Irish Pub, the décor, music, food, drink and hospitality makes patrons feel like they are really in Dublin.
