Memphis, TN (January 8, 2004) - Peabody Place Entertainment and Retail Center puts a Memphis twist on the Italian tradition of tossing coins into Trevi fountain and making a wish. Thanks to visitors at Peabody Place Entertainment and Retail Center, Wings Cancer Foundation recently received a boost in providing supportive care for cancer patients and their families.

"Wings offers comfort, hope and healing to all cancer patients. It is our pleasure and privilege to present this check to the Foundation to help benefit the lives of those touched by cancer," said Anise Belz, Wings board member and wife of Ron Belz, president of Belz Enterprises.

The unique streetscape design of the 300,000-square-foot Entertainment and Retail Center includes a large fountain, into which visitors have been tossing coins and making wishes since the Center opened in September 2001. Every quarter, the Center donates coins from the fountain to a Memphis charity. This quarter, $2,890 was collected and a check was presented to Sandy Patterson, executive director of Wings, today in front of the fountain.

"The fountain donation is such a unique way to give to charity, and we're thrilled to receive this gift," said Patterson. "I thank Belz and the Center on behalf of all our patients and their families."
