"Shopping Survivor" Contest at
100 Oaks Mall - Nashville

WHAT:

100 Oaks Mall, in conjunction with radio station Music City 103.3 FM, will host a "Shopping Survivor" contest, based upon the popular television show. Instead of braving the Australian outback, five contestants will be given a "survival scenario" by DJ Eddie Fox and asked to gather the items needed to "survive" from participating mall merchants. Judges from 103.3 will vote on the contestants’ ability to gather the needed items in a race against the clock. In the event of a tie, the audience will vote to determine the winners. The first place winner will receive a $500 gift certificate to 100 Oaks Mall. The four runners-up will receive $50 mall gift certificates.

Participants will be chosen in a variety of ways. Two will be picked in a Music City 103.3 FM radio call-in contest. One will be randomly chosen from the audience the day of the contest and two more will be selected in a drawing, which shoppers can register for from March 12th through March 17th in front of the food court on the mall’s second level. Registrants must be present the day of the contest in order to participate.

Adding to the fun will be an appearance by a costumed crocodile from the Australian outback. In addition, there will be a variety of prize giveaways, including a dinner for two at Outback Steak House and free promotional merchandise from Music City 103.3 FM and 100 Oaks Mall, while supplies last. Music City 103.3 FM will also broadcast a live remote throughout this exciting event.
