100 Oaks Mall to Host Day Long Informational Event in Honor of National Organ & Tissue Donor Awareness Week

Nashville, Tenn. (April 13, 2000) - In recognition of National Organ & Tissue Donor Awareness Week, 100 Oaks Mall will host members of Organs For Life, a support group which seeks to promote organ and tissue donation and provide support to transplant candidates, as well as to the families of the recipient and donor family members. In addition, Organs For Life works closely with other entities to support and promote organ and tissue donation.

Members of Organs For Life will be stationed at the 100 Oaks Mall on April 20, 2000 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. answering questions, distributing donor cards and providing helpful information about becoming a donor.

National Organ & Tissue Awareness Week is a special time to remember the generosity of donors whose gifts enable others to have a second chance at healthy and productive living. It is also a week that is set aside to bring attention to the long list of persons still waiting for live-saving and life-enhancing transplants and to encourage others to share the ultimate gift - the gift of life - by becoming a donor.
