Belz Factory Outlet World – Lakeland, in conjunction with the
Mid-South Volkswagen Club, will host its first-ever "Belz Bug-In,"
featuring more than 100 antique and new Volkswagens, from Beetles to
vans. Admission is free and shoppers are invited to view the cars that
will be on display and learn more about them directly from their owners.
Car parts and memorabilia will also be available for sale or swap. The
first 100 people to arrive at the show will receive a free peace dog
tag.
Radio station Star 98, and on-air personality J.L. Fisk, will be on
hand to broadcast a live remote and to register shoppers to win a one-night
stay at Fitzgeralds Casino/Hotel. There will also be a live musical
performance by Charles McLemore during the fun-filled event.
The Belz staff will also be selling flag lapel pins, key chains and
car flags during the show to benefit United Way’s September 11th
Fund.
