Peabody Place and Lifeblood Team Up to Collect 28 Units of Blood for Mid-South Hospitals

MEMPHIS, Tennessee, February XX, 2006 – The Counseling Services of Eastern Arkansas was the big winner in the Lifeblood “Have a Heart, Give Blood” promotion held at Peabody Place Entertainment and Retail Center February 9-14. The counseling office signed up the most people to donate blood to the cause and won a $500 gift certificate to Jillian’s for their effort.

“We’re very pleased with the success of the Have a Heart, Give Blood promotion,” said Andrew J. Groveman, senior vice president of Belz. “We’re thrilled that Peabody Place could offer the venue for this event and exposure for such a worthwhile cause.”

Forty-four individuals attended the event and 28 successfully donated. Blood donors must be at least 17-years-old, in generally good health and weigh at least 110 lbs.

Lifeblood was pleased with the number of people that donated, especially since the cold weather may have kept potential donors off the roads.

The promotion invited companies from throughout the Mid-South to sign up as many people as they could to donate blood in the name of their company. All donations to Lifeblood benefit patients in local hospitals and treatment centers.
