NASCAR APPAREL RACING INTO PEABODY PLACE

MEMPHIS, Tennessee, July 30, 2007 – Belz announced today TrackCouture, a women’s NASCAR apparel company, will be moving into Pembroke Square, located at 119 S. Main St. 

            TrackCouture makes fashionable clothing for women who love racing.  The company has an official NASCAR licensed clothing line which offers fun clothing in chic cuts.  The 1,800 square foot space will be used not only as office space but also as the company’s flagship retail store. The front of the store will be dedicated to approximately 300 square feet of retail space.  The company will primarily sell their TrackCouture line of racing appeal and select items from the NASCAR line, including items featuring FedEx sponsored driver Denny Hamlin.

            “We really love the Downtown vibe,” said Lisa Heros, president of TrackCouture.  “We wanted to have a store front on Main St. because there is huge tourist traffic along there that we wanted to capitalize on.”

Conveniently located on the ground floor, TrackCouture will have Main St. visibility and will benefit not only from the lunch and dinner traffic to its neighbor, Downtown’s newest restaurant, Circa, but also from tourists visiting the Belz Museum of Asian and Judaic Art and the Center for Southern Folklore.  TrackCouture also will benefit from the increased business and residential foot traffic to the new Downtown post office, located in the ground floor of the Peabody Place Tower. 

“The addition of TrackCouture into Peabody Place demonstrates that Main St. continues to be an attractive retail location,” said Andy Groveman, senior vice president, Belz.  “We are very pleased TrackCouture chose Pembroke Square to be the site of their first retail store.  Pembroke Square’s prime location in the heart of downtown next to a wide variety of restaurants and shops, as well as the growing residential community, was a key factor in TrackCouture’s decision to move here.”

TrackCouture is scheduled to move in at the beginning of September.  The company currently sells its apparel online at www.trackcouture.com.
