Letter from Jack Belz:

In the early 1970s, my wife, Marilyn, and I wandered into an Oriental collector's gallery in Los Angeles. We found something far beyond the intriguing carved ball-in-ball we purchased that day. We discovered a whole new world of artistic beauty.

Since then, we have found rare Chinese art treasures around the globe. With every new acquisition, we gained a greater appreciation for the diversity, craftsmanship and symbolism represented by the art forms of the millennia-old Chinese culture.

In addition to the Chinese display items, there is a vast array of other art areas which interest us and which we believe add greatly to the experience of visiting the Belz Museum of Asian & Judaic Art. Foremost among these is a very comprehensive and unique selection of Judaica, which will have appeal to people of all faiths because of the extraordinary beauty and content. We hope you will visit it soon.

We are proud to share the inspiration and beauty of these rare works of art with others. We hope that as you wander through our museum of Chinese art, you will gain new insights into the extraordinary people who created these exquisite treasures.
