MUVICO PEABODY PLACE 22 THEATER HOSTS EVENTS TO KICK-OFF "BARBERSHOP 2"

Movie Event to Benefit American Diabetes Association

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Feb. 3, 2004) - Muvico Peabody Place 22 Theater at Memphis' one-stop-shop for movies, music, dining and shopping offers visitors a truly unique movie-going experience for the opening of MGM's "Barbershop 2: Back in Business." The Theater will transform its lobby into an old-style barbershop on Friday, February 6 and Saturday, February 7, 2004, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., with barber chairs and haircuts, shoe shining and prizes.

"We believe events like these are an excellent way to get visitors excited about and involved in new things happening at the Center," said Andrew J. Groveman, senior vice president of Belz, owner and developer of Peabody Place Entertainment and Retail Center.

As part of the barbershop event, students from Memphis Barber College will set up barber chairs in the lobby of the Theater to offer free haircuts, accept donations for the American Diabetes Association and give out promotional hats, t-shirts and gift certificates. The non-profit diabetes organization will have an information table in the Theater lobby to educate the public and raise awareness about the risks of the disease. The first 100 visitors to make a donation will receive a free goody bag. In addition, visitors can get their shoes shined in true barbershop fashion and enjoy music provided by a live KXHT 107.1-FM radio remote on Saturday.

As always, parking for Muvico Peabody Place 22 Theater is free with movie ticket validation.
